It has\nboth corporate and individual members. TUNCAP is involved principally with\nresearch work on the environmental sciences and technologies in the field of\nair pollution and control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Encouraging, carrying out and\nsponsoring air pollution research and similar studies in Turkey; to carry out\nnational studies and to collaborate with international organizations to develop\ntechnologies relevant to air pollution;<\/li><li>Determining the role of energy\nin heating, traffic and industry in contributing to air pollution problems in\nTurkey and, in coordination with other private and government bodies, to show\nthe way to control these sources to ensure that air quality remains at a high\nlevel;<\/li><li>Exchanging information and\nsharing experiences on increasing combustion efficiencies or to apply other\ntechniques which reduce emissions from point sources in the domestic,\ncommercial and industrial sectors.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>TUNCAP organized the IUAPPA Regional Conference in September 1997 in\nIstanbul in the field of Air Quality Management (AQM-1). A second conference\n(AQM-2) in this series was realised in Istanbul on September 2001 as an EFCA\nConference; it was also accepted as an equivalent regional conference by\nIUAPPA. And in 2005 again AQM-3 was held in Istanbul in close collaboration\nwith both IUAPPA and EFCA. These are between national symposia for air\npollution control every two years in a different parts of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presently TUNCAP has a web site under the Dokuz Eyl\u00fcl University web to\ndisseminate information on air pollution science at the national and\ninternational levels to its members (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.deu.edu.tr\">www.deu.edu.tr<\/a> ). <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Turkish National Committee for Air Pollution Research (TUNCAP) Head Office Dokuz Eyl\u00fcl University, Fac. of Engineering, Tinaztepe\u00a0 Campus.
