It has individual\nsupporting bodies as members. CSIA is a special committee working within the\nframe of the Italian Thermotechnical Association, founded in 1947 with the main\nobject of promoting and supporting research and activities in thermotechnics.\nIn 1965 an <em>ad hoc<\/em> group, Gruppo di Studio Inquinamento Atmosferico was\nestablished for the purpose of creating a specialised scientific centre for\ntechnical and social reference in air pollution control, a problem closely\nrelated to thermotechnics and energy use. In 1983 the Group was renamed CSIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Activities<br>\n<\/strong>\u2022 organisation of conferences and meetings on\nprevention of air pollution;<br>\n\u2022 technical and scientific collaboration with doctorate in research in\n\u201cTechnology and Economics of processes and products for the protection of the\nenvironment\u201d of the University of Catania;<br>\n\u2022 the exchange and dissemination of information about air pollution and control\nmethodologies related to environment conservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Publications<br>\n<\/strong><em>La Termotecnica<\/em>, monthly\npublished by ATI.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Committee for Air Pollution Study and Research Head Office c\/o Instituto di Merceologia, Corso Italia 55, I-95127 CATANIA, Italy.
